⦁    Break of Service Rule

⦁    Parity

⦁    If an employee has worked between four and twelve weeks, then misses more time than they have worked consecutively, terminates and is rehired, they may be treated as a new hire
⦁    ie: Sophie works for ABC Corp. for 6 weeks, then does not work for 7 weeks consecutively, if she were to terminate and be rehired, she could be treated as a brand new hire

⦁    13 Week Rule

⦁    If an employee has worked more than 12 weeks, then misses 13 or more weeks, terminates and is rehired, they may be treated as a new hire
